Google this week launched the Kormo application that will aid the ones who lost their jobs during the pandemic. The application had earlier been launched in Bangladesh and Indonesia.
Google has launched the application keeping in regard the entry-level job seekers who are trying to find and apply for positions. Earlier, ‘Jobs Spot’ was launched in India as a part of Google Pay in which opportunities in industries like on-demand businesses, retail, and hospitality were included. The Korma Application is a rebranding of the same.
Google had then partnered with 25 companies comprising of Swiggy, Zomato, Ritu Kumar, FabHotels, Dunzo among others that were on a look for delivery partners, security guards, customers support partners, field sales and marketing executives, etc.
What did Google say?
“In India, employers like Zomato and Dunzo have found Jobs matching algorithm effective in finding candidates with the required skills, experience and location preferences, with over 2 million verified jobs posted on the platform”vocalized Google India.
The application is currently available to android users who can download it from the Google Play Store.
“Encouraged by this momentum and to lend support to employment efforts in a post-pandemic world, we are bringing our Kormo Jobs Android app to India to help even more job seekers discover and apply for jobs across India with an additional gateway.”stated Google.
How does Kormo Application work?
Once you download the Kormo Application it asks you to set up the basic profile and provides you with a digital CV based on your inputs that can be printed or shared.
To obtain accurate results, one must fill in the background, interests, and prior experiences, the employers then reach you.
In addition, the application also provides you with essential information regarding the up-gradation of skills and provides you with the necessary tools. The company has assured the users to bring new and updated features with time.
